Cornerstone Church Picnic

Today was our Cornerstone Church Picnic. We had the whole park reserved and Mason had a blast! We had to be bussed over (stupid, but we went with it). Mason was so excited about riding on a bus. He did his happy dance just before boarding and imitated the bus noises all the way to the park. (It went something like this, "mmmmmmMMMMMMM!" Then we took 2 steps off of the bus...and he slipped in the ONLY mud puddle at the park. Feet up. Butt in the mud. It is SO unlike me to not have an extra change of clothes, but today was the one day that I didn't. So..Mase ran around the park in a diaper, flip flops, and a cut-off for 30 minutes until Dover brought back some shorts. Actually, they were pants that we had to cut off with scissors. Mix all this drama with the heat, and my hormones, and I was mortified! Tosha was so sweet and helped me with Mason, tried to convince me that my redneck looking 2 year old was just fine, and took over for a few minutes while I could unload all of our stuff. Thx Tosh! Once Mason got some clean clothes on, all was good. He had a blast and never knew a thing!
